The Digital TV Switchover at BudemeadowsThe SouthWest will be one of the first areas of the UK to switch off its analogue TV signal and change to Digital only TV. This process will be happening during the late summer of 2009 for our local transmitter at Caradon Hill. On 12 August 2009 the analogue signal for BBC2 will be switched off and BBC2 will then be available only on digital receivers. The second phase of the switch over will happen on 9 September 2009 when all the remaining analogue transmissions will cease and all TV transmissions from Caradon Hill will be digital. At present we get around a 40% signal strength for digital transmissions from Caradon Hill.
